Solstice’s Fact Check Assistant allows teams to easily verify claims against their existing knowledge base. Life sciences marketing teams spend an abundant amount of hours annotating, labeling, and referencing claims in promotional and educational documents, oftentimes sifting through peer-reviewed literature to locate statements, images, and ideas.
We are excited to introduce Fact Check Assistant, a tool teams can use to fact check content, built specifically for editorial, commercial, marketing, and medical affairs teams alike.
Here we describe the three main functionalities of Solstice’s Fact Check Assistant: (1) acting as a reference library for your team, (2) rapidly producing accurate suggestions, and (3) enhancing collaboration between team members.
1. A reference library for your team
Fact Check Assistant references claims in newly generated content from an integrated knowledge base separated into either clinical elements or design elements. These elements are source documents teams use to create content. Teams can seamlessly integrate their existing source documents into this knowledge base in seconds.
Clinical elements consist of peer-reviewed journals, prescribing labels, clinical trial research, prior-approved claims, and other scientific references.
Design elements consist of all existing brand material such as style guides, logos, components, and other assets related to the overall layout of content.
This reference library not only acts as a source of truth for teams to ensure that the system’s suggestions come from a verifiable and validated source but also an easily accessible database for teams to access of all of their material, both past and current.
2. An accurate annotations tool
Instead of manually locating the source text that most aptly corresponds to the claims written in new documents, users can now rely on the platform to find, extract, and reference phrases, ideas, and figures immediately from the knowledge base. We’re excited to launch the industry’s most sophisticated annotation tool using the latest advancements in retrieval techniques, language models, and computer vision.
In addition to Solstice's annotations, users are able to add multiple annotations to a single claim, sort annotations by relevance, and verify the clinical accuracy of claims instantly. We provide justifications for why annotations make sense and give you control over which ones you would like to include. We prioritize accuracy without sacrificing on security and privacy. We build our models to not only recognize but, more importantly, understand concepts before our system makes any specific annotation, just like a human would.
3. A collaborative team workspace
The platform enables users to collaborate seamlessly, exchange ideas, and resolve comments in real-time. Given the interdisciplinary nature of reviewing content, we believe in the importance to provide teams with easy visibility to address questions through a centralized platform. Several system enhancements allow this to happen:
Speed: improved latency and data handling allow suggestions to emerge and be resolved immediately.
Filtering: improved comment filtering capabilities to remove redundancies.
Personalization: more specific comments with syntax your team is most comfortable with.
